Whats everyones problem with Libya?

I understand no one wants another Iraq War but its not like we sent the army there. At most theres 2600 marines on standby in case a pilot is shot down. After all we backed Gadhafi and put the Libyan people in this mess. The least we can do is clear the way for the French and British jets.
