If you believe in Jesus Christ, does that make you a Christian?

Being a true Christian is not just a matter of saying I believe in Jesus. A true Christian has to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.Sadly the majority of the so-called Christian religions are not doing that. Jesus said in John 17:16 "Do not be a part of this world just as I am not a part of this world" Millions of people who profess to be Christian are going against those words of Jesus by participating in Politics and celebrating pagan celebrations and by getting involved in other worldly affairs. Also by by participating in wars they are going against Jesus commandments that says "By this you will know that you are my disciples if you have love among one another." John 13:35. They also do not believe in disciplining a member of the church who is a practicer of fornication or adultery,therefore consenting immorality and promoting it. 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 and much more.
