Do scientists fund lots of weird experiments?

if so....i think it would be a great study to conduct if some one got one of those really soft squishy pillows with all the little beads inside and got an enormous one, like really enormous and then they got test people, gave them lsd or mushrooms and then put them naked in the middle of the huge pillow and then tested their happiness levels in their brain. this is my friend and i's life goal to make this happen...so if anyone knows if this could in any way happen or you know someone who'd do it....let me know. thank you for your time kind people.
